Richard Lewis is a writer and filmmaker. He is the author of four novels, including The Lion's Daughter, which was a finalist for the California Book Award and the John Creasy Memorial Award, and The Man Who Loved His Dog, which won the 2007 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction. He is also a playwright whose works include The Hoopster at Home, a modern adaptation of Aristophanes' Lysistrata, and The Stick Up. Lewis teaches writing at the University of Southern California.
